The 1st Seven Beach Scout Group is a charity within its own right and as such is registered with the Charity Commission.
In accordance with Charity Commission rules it has an Executive Committee who are the trustees of the charity.
These trustees include Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer supported by other elected officers plus a selection of the uniformed Leaders from the Scout Group.
The Executive Committee is appointed every year at the Annual General Meeting of the Scout Group and at the same time formal acceptance of the audited accounts for the previous 12 months takes place.
All members of the Group Council are invited to attend and vote at the Annual General Meeting. The Group Council includes all uniformed adults, all trustees and all parents of young people who are members of the Group.
